SIROA

South Central Independent         rental Owners association

The South-Central Independent Rental Owners Association (SIROA) is a non-profit association that was formed in July of 2007 by a group of people in the apartment rental business.  The main purpose for this association is to be able to offer a joint effort to deal with some of the issues that the rental business handles on a regular basis; protection against crime and drug problems being a first priority. Members of this association include owners, managers, police officers and vendors related to the apartment rental business. It was created in Danville with hopes of growing by inviting people from all surrounding cities and counties

SIROA holds monthly meetings with the purpose of discussing issues that are common to most apartment rental companies. The meetings also include guest speakers who will talk about different subjects related to this business, vendors offering the latest information about collections, credit checks, supplies or other matters, and any other suggestions or concerns brought up by the members. SIROA has a board of directors who are voted in for three years. Presently there are 18 registered members from Boyle, Mercer and Fayette counties. The membership dues are $100 for each property and each vendor. These fees are used for legal and administrative needs and for any other purpose that the board of directors approves.
